Teach your daughter about pioneers

Teach your daughter about pioneers

Your daughter’s dream might be becoming a princess when she grows up, she might have Barbie-like standards of beauty and would instantly choose a make up kit over a puzzle. But it’s your duty to teach her how to find her dreams and not settle for generic, imposed ones, and it’s definitely your duty to educate her about all the great women who made everything we have today possible.

Read about how Jaime Moore turned her daughter’s birthday into an inspiring milestone in her life.

This is an inspirational story about a photographer who refused for her daughter to follow unrealistic dreams and opted instead to teach her about great women who can truly be role models for her in whichever field she chooses. She dressed her up as five historical figures, Amelia Earhart, Coco Chanel, Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller and Jane Goodall, and then took her portraits.

For your daughter’s birthday this year, tell her about five pioneering Arab women in various fields and let her choose which one inspires her most. Dress her up as this lady and take a picture of her so she remembers it for the rest of her life and realizes she can dream big.
