Men: Why do you enjoy the mind games?

We often find our heated discussions so entertaining, they simply need to go on record. So decided to go ahead and do just that, launching our podcast section to share with you heated discussions with our guests on relationships, men, women, society and even religion.

For our first episode, we decided to bring up a common phenomenon causing way too many complications to relationships at times and at other times working magic for some couples: Mind games, playing hard to get and basically game plans to get the man or woman, keep them interested and get your way.

Listen to a heated argument between two girls who flee games like the plague and a guy who believes it is all about the chase and games are what give relationships the zest they need to get started and keep going. What do you think? Is the chase part of a relationship’s spark or is it too complicated to be honest? Leave us a comment and tell us what you think.

Podcast Host: Sherif Nour El Din | Producer: Sharif Tafreshi | Participants: Hadeel El Deeb and Nadine El Sayed

Editor’s note: You can stream or download our podcasts, so listen to our podcasts at the office during your lunch break, while you’re doing that monotonous task at work, or download it and listen to it on your way home while you’re stuck in traffic or even on a treadmill.

My go into this is, men have a different psychology. The mans’ brain is completely different than a womans’.
The way both genders function is very different.
It has been scientifically proven and unfortunately we aren’t aware of this.

In relationships, men go back to their initial instinct which is to seek, protect, to fight for what they want.
By handing this out on a silver plate somehow screws up the equation; there was no effort exerted, therefore there must be something wrong.

    Men think with mazes.

And i thought women were complex. *sigh.

  2. We like that insight, especially the final line in it 😉

I am not into games, even when I have done that, was only when I was playing along I never started it.
This is not categorization but some of the cases I have encountered or heard about from friends:

    1) Ladies don’t forget men are hunters they are hardwired to hunt, some even discard the pray once they catch it, sometimes they are looking for a thrill not a relation that’s not always the attitude but if it is, you are better off without him cause, all you will get is a lot of games then nothing and I don’t think it is healthy to keep him with games and challenges all the time plus what is the use of that?

    2) Again when men hunt it is in groups most of the time and what is a better way to show you are the Alfa Male than having the ladies after you? Even if playing games, Again not the correct reason.

    On the other hand:

    3) A Rebound is a tricky situation, some didn’t knew they were having a rebound yet they did and the games was a way to gain time (avoid falling into deep) plus look and feel wanted and appealing, which is fair enough every one (especially girls) needs to feel wanted but for the love of god be straight with yourself, a rebound is a rebound and keep him/her posted.

    4) Some people don’t know what they want or good for them (yes I met a lot like that “don’t call them stupid”) they need to be told and what is a better way than making him/her think you are too good for me but may be if you run after me .. maybe then ..

There is a lot of reasons why Men and Women Play games some for the fun of it (I don’t call it a relation) and some for a real reason, some love the thrill some get stressed, so I think a little mind games every now and then can give the thrill, make you feel wanted, or even a test to see if he/she will still run after you, but like everything over do it and it will ruin everything.
